چکیده

Oneand two-dimensional carbon nanostructures with sp hybridization of carbon atoms (single walled carbon nanotubes and graphene) are promising materials in future electronic and spintronics devices due to specific character of their electronic structure. In this paper we present a comparative study of graphene and single-wall carbon nanotubes by Raman spectro-microscopy in strong magnetic field. This unique method allows to study changes in electronic band structure of the two types of carbon nanostructures induced by a strong magnetic field. Keywords—Carbon nanostructures, magnetic field, Raman spectroscopy.

Magnetic control of synthesis and characterization of carbon nanostructures produced in an anodic arc plasma

Anodic arc discharge supported by the erosion of the anode material is one of the most practical and efficient methods to synthesize various high-quality carbon nanostructures including nanotubes, graphene due to its relatively higher growth temperature and eco-friendly procedures. In order to increase the arc controllability of the as-synthesized products, we introduced a non-uniform magnetic ...

Perspectives on carbon nanotubes and graphene Raman spectroscopy.

Raman spectroscopy is here shown to provide a powerful tool to differentiate between two different sp(2) carbon nanostructures (carbon nanotubes and graphene) which have many properties in common and others that differ. Emphasis is given to the richness of both carbon nanostructures as prototype examples of nanostructured materials. A glimpse toward future developments in this field is presented.

Plasmonic lens focused longitudinal field excitation for tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy

A novel tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy setup with longitudinal field excitation generated by a plasmonic lens is investigated. A symmetry-breaking structure plasmonic lens that is expected to realize a strong longitudinal electric field focus has been designed to generate suitable excitation for enhancement in a tip antenna. The focusing performance of the plasmonic lens is theoretically simul...
